Who We Are

Why choose us

Owners Goga and Elmir came to the Netherlands during the war in Bosnia (1991). They settled in a positive way in their new country. But after the war ended, they felt a strong duty to contribute to the development of their original homeland Bosnia Herzegovina. That is why, in 2008, they started their holiday house project Herzegovina Lodges. Their dream is to share as much beauty of this country with you as possible, in the mountains of Bosnia or the lower lands of Herzegovina.

Telling you about the history, guiding you through trails and wanderings, visiting alternative cafés, introducing you to local people, and joining you for the discovery of hidden places, locals cherish. After experiencing the commitment, enthusiasm and drive of Goga & Elmir, you will understand why Herzegovina Lodges is synonym for; Hospitability, sustainability, eco tourism, art, culture, building bridges, hospitality, nature, local, delicious, pure, local, fairness, customized, peace, authentic, spontaneous…

Come, marvel majestic mountains and rivers, rest in pristine nature, enjoy activities, discover the culture, eat great food and feel at home in the mountains of Herzegovina.

Herzegovina Lodges is a place where writers, artists, poets and others can meet and debate with each other. Herzegovina Lodges feels a desire to build a cultural bridge from this place between the Low Countries on the sea and the fantastic high mountains.
